HYS Yachts. The Art of Conversion.

32 Meter M/Y Ren Rose

32 Meter M/Y Ren Rose

After a rugged career as a commercial fishing vessel working in and around the waters of New Zealand, REN ROSE (ex. Mutual Enterprise) has been transformed into a comfortable, family-styled luxury yacht capable of taking her owner and guests anywhere throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.

Considering the battered and generally distressed state we found her in when she arrived – and without any original general arrangement drawings to consult during the re-design process – we knew this conversion was going to be one of our more challenging projects.

REN ROSE, however, revealed herself to be in great structural and mechanical condition and after 14 months at the HYS facility, re-entered international waters with a new aluminum deckhouse, stern extension and sport fishing platform.

During the project, the original fishing deck was converted to a spacious full-beam living room with direct open-plan access forward to a combined Dining Room/Galley and aft to a substantial Al Fresco deck. The Crew Accommodation was relocated forward from the Galley to provide maximum privacy for the owner and guests.

On the upper deck (aft of the wheelhouse) the new deckhouse structure was entirely dedicated to the Owner’s Penthouse, and the previous fishing hold was converted into four Guest Cabins which shared two bathrooms.

The REN ROSE project also included a long list of new equipment including a generator, water makers, wet exhaust system, tender crane, a new bowsprit and anchor handling mechanism, navigation and air conditioning systems, and more.
